  2.  @_FightForYourFreedom_  The book is essentially like a PhD thesis. The central argument is that relationships are a transactional value exchange. A lots of arguments are put forward to support this economic model, e.g. men want copulation vs women want resources, women shop around for the best deal, men want variety/The Coolidge Effect, etc etc. The book is more about the economics (than psychology) of relationships.
