@SoloRenegade divorce laws. Once the husband and wife are married, she holds all the cards and has all the leverage. She can take his money, house and kids. He can't do the same based on the laws.

Exactly. This happens all the time in divorce. A man can enter the marriage rich, but leave the marriage poor. The reasons wives want marriage and the reason wives want divorce is because they enter marriage poor but leave it rich.

@lorrilewis2178 A wife would leave the marriage rich compared to the husband in the UK. In the UK she would be award with around 70% of the money, assets and home equity. Many men in the UK do feel aggrieved losing their house and money which is why marriage is going extinct in the UK. There used to be 400k marriages per year in the UK (now there is only 200k marriages per year in the UK). Even wives of billionaires get divorced (Melinda Gates, MacKenzie Scott who has now just finished her second divorce, etc). Some wives will just never be happy regardless of how good their life and marriage is. Many wives just divorce on the basis of boredom.

@tancreddehauteville764 The judge was extremely biased. The problem with UK divorce is that the judges have full discretion and power, and are very biased. The cost of appealing could have been up to £30k and the appeal judge could have given my wife 75% and spousal support. Theoretically, an appeal could leave me much worse off. I didn't want to risk losing 75% and end up on spousal support too. I paid for the house, not her. Although, she went from full time to part time work after the birth, and had a student loan to pay. I should have complained and reported the judge to the Government but missed the 3 month deadline. Our divorce was very messy as she had hidden all her money from her job.

@tancreddehauteville764 The UK is an equitable division country on divorce. You can look this up on google for yourself. Some cases end up 100 : 0 to the wife / mother. The starting point is 50 : 50 but judges often increase this to 60 : 40 or 70 : 30 or 75 : 25 if there is a child involved and the mother is working part time. On top of the 70 : 30 the father also has to pay child support each month. I obviously don't have a problem with child support each month as this is reasonable and fair. The problem I have is losing 70% of my money, assets and house. A major problem with the UK divorce system is that it is very secretive, i.e. done behind closed doors without publication of each case. The only way to get evidence is by speaking to UK family law solicitors, or going to organizations like Resolution, Fathers for Justice, etc. I personally lost 70% despite only having 1 kid, short marriage and my wife earning more than me.

@tancreddehauteville764 the UK legal system is a complete lottery. My lawyer thought the split would be 60 : 40. But ultimately it depends on the judge on the day. If you get a biased judge who believes everyone should be fighting against the patriarchy the wife will win big. Johnny Depp lost his Amber Heard case in the UK. Individual judges in the UK are way to incompetent and have way to much power and bias.

@EcoworksFL I had more money at the beginning of the marriage. I paid for everything during the marriage. She didn't contribute to the marriage. She would give her earnings to her family members to help them and/or hide money. So according to your logic, I should be given 70%. However this is not how the divorce laws are setup in the UK.

@EcoworksFL The UK system works on a 50-50 basis and should only deviate if the wife needs more. Given my ex-wife didn't need more than 50-50 the assets should have been split 50-50 or 60-40 at worst. But 70-30 where there is only 1 child and she earns more is discriminatory against husbands. Any man getting married is making the biggest mistake of his life. It is a relief marriage is finally going extinct. I wouldn't want my son to go through what I went through.

@somacruz6893 Yup. Many wives have a secret stash of cash. Very normal.

If you look at billionaires like Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, etc. The split is around 100 : 0. They are paying 100% for the house, nannies, chef, cleaners, etc and their wives are probably doing nothing. And even on a 100 : 0 split in favour of the wife these billionaires still get divorced. Bottom line is, no man is ever safe from divorce even on a 100 : 0 split. Wives will always find something to moan and complain about.

SIMPs will always SIMP. Its in their genetics. They are lower value and its there only mating strategy.

Wives generally see their husbands as wallets (especially in divorce). And they extract money from the husband in exchange for physical intimacy.

Even if men could afford 70 : 30, 70 : 30 still wouldn't be enough. Billionaires (Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates) and millionaire Chads (Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Tom Brady) get divorced all the time. You can't win in marriage as a man. The wife will always find something to moan, complain and hen peck you about.
