  2. Taking calculated risks where potential pit falls have been mitigated is generally much better. E.g. marrying without a pre-nup vs. marrying with a pre-nup. Or having 1 kid (maximum child support bill just for 1 kid) vs. having multiple kids (larger child support/child custody bill). Or rushing into marriage vs. taking your time. Or quitting your job and starting a business with no savings vs. staying in your job and building up your savings and business on a part-time basis first, etc.
