  4. Wow! Just wow..... You are an excellent storyteller! Thank you so much for adhering to the historical truth! We know that, unfortunately, one of the tactics of the Soviet leadership to create an attractive image of a "successful state" was to hush up real Soviet problems, and even serious catastrophes that happened in the union. Many first responders who fought against the consequences of catastrophes in the USSR were forced to sign documents on secrecy so that none of their fellow citizens and, God forbid, foreigners, would know about the regular crashes of Soviet trains, planes, and about the frequent major accidents at factories and plants.

  6. Thank you for your work and for the interesting video! It's easy to see, that this flat, even though in a crumbling house, has been somehow modernized & renovated. The tiles in the bathroom, the wallpapers, the doors & furniture are all comparably new. Many of similar flats in the different towns of former Soviet Union still have the same cheap furniture, worn-out wallpapers, cracked doors & water-damaged bathrooms from the 1940-s, 50-s, 60-s & 70-s, all in a state of disrepair. The pensioners, who live there, don't have kind relatives with enough money to help their elderly.

  8. I really liked your tea glass with a traditional "cup holder"! I know that in pre-revolutionary Tsarist Russia, in the nobility, men were served tea in such glasses with metal - usually silver - cup holders, because a tea glass in a metal cup holder was considered more "masculine". And ladies were served tea in porcelain cups with saucers, because it was believed that thin, fragile porcelain with a flower pattern and a gold trim was more appropriate for the "fairer sex".
