  1. In transport, weight is very important. However, in home use, such as batteries for home solar systems, weight, and size are not critical. Cost & safety & reliability are most important. I can see sodium ion batteries taking over that space. Right now, a 10,000kw battery costs about $10,000. If that cost can be brought down to $5,000 or less, demand would take off, IMO.

  2. Interesting. Singapore does not want to use Malaysia or Indonesia as places to build their power plant. Why not? They are much closer, and the seas are much shallower. The cable connection would be both shorter, and at shallow depths. Does Singapore not trust those countries?? Seems so. They would rather deal with Australia and the higher costs. If not that, then what?
