  1. Sorry. We have passed the tipping point. CO2 went up 4ppm last year alone. THAT is HUGE!! It will likely go up that amount from now on. At least until it goes up even more per year. We will see CO2 at 500ppm by 2040, and 740ppm by 2100. The permafrost feedback has kicked in. We cannot stop it. The Holocene is ending. It was nice. Sad to see it go.

  2. 70's?? In the 60's the torus was used in 2001 Space Odyssey. In the 50's, the torus design was used in several sci-fi movies. I believe the torus design space station was proposed by Werhner Von Braun. The idea seems to be as old as the idea of space travel. There is a formula, and we could spin any reasonable wide craft at a rate to give an artificial gravity. This could be done on SMALL craft, not only on city sized structures.
