  1. This is wonderful. Ukraine's success, though, is not only from their bravery and training. Russia's failure, IMO, has more to do with Russian incompetence. The Russian army has degraded over the years from criminal mismanagement. Parts of military equipment were scavenged and sold. Also, Russian army does not have NCOs to lead and direct the troops. It is still structured the way it was in WW2. It is very wasteful of soldier's lives, and inflexible in combat. The Russian army is not able to deal with a dynamic battlefield. The Russian army is incompetent on so many levels. For instance, has any report said Russia hit a Ukraine fuel depot? or Command Center? or radar? or ammo depot? NO - Russia hits large non-military targets - though horrible is militarily incompetent. Meanwhile, Ukraine has been able to hit hundreds of vital important Russian targets. Targets that have severely degraded Russia's ability to function. Now, it is difficult to see how Russia will be able to hold onto any Ukraine territory, including Crimea.

  2. ATACAMS are obsolete in the US. They will be replaced the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). Their replacement was to start in 2023, so giving them to Ukraine will actually save the US the money used to dispose of old missiles. Thanks Ukraine.

  5. President Biden will NOT force a negotiated peace on Ukraine that gives territory to Russia. Biden has backed Zelensky's goal of evicting Russia from Ukraine.

  7. Is a coup possible? Or, is it just wishful thinking. Well, the worse a tyrant is, the firmer is his hold on power. Look at Hitler, Stalin, and Mao -- each died in office. No coup happened. Even though there were internal rumblings, they did not occur. Like it or not, Putin is in until the end. The big question is -- "What will the end look like?" Even if the Russian army collapses, and Ukraine has its territory, what does that mean for the war? Would it end?? Maybe not.

  10. By Christmas, I expect Ukraine to have all of Kherson and Luhansk. I expect Ukraine to be pushing towards Crimea, and be threatening Melitopol. Duhansk will be half retaken. Russia will get weaker and weaker. Good chance Putin is gone by then.

  12. I see it a little differently. Russia's current offensive will be absorbed and defeated. Russia is losing thousands of men. Ukraine will then start its counter offensive and will take back enough territory to cut of Crimea. A siege of Crimea will then start. The Kerch bridge will be destroyed, and Crimea totally cut off. With no support or supplies, Crimea will fall. Now when the siege starts, it will be clear to all, even Putin, that the war is lost for Russia. Putin will likely be deposed, I think. Then the war ends.
