I was a Warren supporter...until her attack on Bernie. First, there are videos of Bernie in 80's telling little girls that they should feel they could become president. He has always supported women in politics, and a female president. Doesn't Warren know that?? Is she nuts? or, just desperate??

China gives conflicted messages. We love the world - we hate the world. We want your money -- we don't want you. We want you to buy from us -- we won't buy from you. These messages are driving companies and people away. As each company leaves, ans the more people stay away, the less the world will rely on Chine, or even need it.

Trumpers believe everything he says. Scientists, doctors, or experts are not heeded. But, Trump's loyal followers will follow him to their graves. And so they may.

@nekonohige2 My advice to Japanese politicians when dealing with Rahm - Smile, nod your head in agreement with whatever he says. But, don't ever agree formally with him. Anything "serious" from him, tell him its interesting and that you will have your people look into it. Tell him how smart and clever he is (he loves that.) When you leave -- FORGET everything that was said. There is a REASON why he was sent out of the country.

@nekonohige2 Unfortunately, Americans often have this assumption that the American way, is the only way. Even that America's issues are everyone else's issues, too. LGBT is something each country should address in their own way, in their own time. It is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. On behalf of the US, I apologize for Rahm, and his boorish self-righteousness.

The real test for our democracy and form of government is what happens after Trump and his gang are removed. How will the Democrats clean house?? Will they "forgive and forget", like the way Nixon was pardoned and his crimes excused. Will Trump be excused? Will future presidents be allowed to have unrecorded meetings with foreign rulers? Will future politicians be allowed to use foreign influence to secure the presidency, and control over our government?? Will foreign governments continue to be allowed to shape our elections, and "choose" our leaders?? If we allow that, then we are lost. Rulers of totalitarian governments, such as Xi and Putin, cannot stand democracies, for they are the true threat to their continued existence. Putin and Xi are rivals, even enemies, but both are more fearful of the growing democratic forces among their peoples, than they are of each other. I wonder if our vain, shortsighted, and narrow-minded politicians will find the wisdom and courage to make the needed changes??

As the Hang Sang stock market declines, and maybe collapses, will the Chinese economy follow?? Isn't Hong Kong a key component to the 30 year rise of the Chinese economy?? Seems to me that Xi and the CCCP have a choice -- loosen their oppressive governing practices OR end their expanding economy by oppressing HK. Can HK and its economy survive oppression?? I don't think so. HK businesses require easy access to the world, fair courts, and western style personal freedoms. How can that survive if the CCCP succeeds in imposing its corrupt, lawless, and rigid form of government?? I don't think it can. Xi and the CCCP are on the horns of a dilemma. They seem to be choosing oppression. Thus, ensuring the collapse of the Chinese economy.

High turnout will make it an even bigger win for Biden than the polls show. Moreover, many additional Democrat down ballot candidates will be swept into office. For the first time in a long time, we will have a president who also has coattails.

@nekonohige2 That does not surprise me. Rahm was NEVER a politician, although he was Mayor of Chicago. He was mostly behind the scene, advising and strategizing. He is good at that. BUT, and it is a BIG BUT, he has lousy interpersonal skills. He has no idea of how to say things in a way that people will accept, or at least not be upset. IMO, he is a poor choice for an ambassador. Ambassadors ARE politicians, and their first job is to keep friends. LAST job is to make enemies. To give you an idea, I don't think Rahm has many friends. People respect him, even admire him. He is smart. But, few really like the guy. Well, you guys got him. Enjoy.

@nekonohige2 The US should not be "instructing" Japan in anything. Japan is an advanced sophisticated country. It should be treated with respect. Obviously, Rahm is not respecting Japan. Therefore, as Ambassador he is damaging our relationship. That is a BAD ambassador.

What a silly argument. She is an admirer of centralized planned economies and dictatorships. Dictators do have the advantage of simplified decision making. HOWEVER, they also have huge problems. They really don't understand their own country because they do not listen. China's "strength" is from manipulated numbers, misinterpretation, and ignoring of others. For instance, the huge ghost cities built, represent a huge waste to its economy, which is not reflected in the numbers. Also, she ignores the dependency of the Chinese economy on exports. I think at some point, the Chinese economic system will crack, and will suffer a severe collapse.

Biden inherited this mess. We have no choice. We need to leave. Our presence in Afghanistan is NOT helping the US. and not helping them, either. We cannot continue to prop up a dead horse. I admire Biden for having the wisdom to admit we need to leave. The Republicans, who talked about leaving during the 2016 campaigns, now act like they want our troops to stay there and die. Do the Republicans care more for Afghani lives, than they do for Americans?? It seems so.

Money people, look at money. Got that. What I want to know is what is happening to the common Chinese citizen who owns a home not yet built?? How many people/families are losing their wealth? What happens to them? How many have been victims of this? How many are under threat?? And, then what is happening to the market?? I would imagine those who were ready to buy, would not buy now?? So, how are developers faring, that looked healthy before this started?? Good companies can go bankrupt, when a market collapses and people stop buying. So, what is happening there?? That is what I want to hear about.

@robertewalt7789 That is what I understand, too. I think the entire industry operated like Evergrande, and so many more developers will be going bankrupt. If that happens, then it will be millions of people becoming impoverished -- losing their family's savings. It could be real ugly.
