  1. Common misconception -- rare earth elements are rare. They are not rare. We have them here in North America, and in South America, and in Africa. What they are is VERY dirty to both mine and process. We didn't mind China polluting itself, so we were happy they produced the stuff. However, if needed, we will start production somewhere else.
