  1. If Siberia parted from Russia, China would take it. Unless the UN, US, or some combination of powers protected Siberia from that. If not, too many resources that resource hungry China wants. l

  2. Russia cannot make the next step in weapons design, IMO. Weapons will be highly automated with communications and AI. Networked drones will dominate future battlefields Russia will have no ability to design and build them.

  3. What is China's plan for Russia, especially Siberia? 1. China claims to be an Arctic power. How can it be an Arctic power with no border on the Arctic Ocean. 2. Global Times has had several articles claiming Vladivostok and the lands Russia took from the Qing dynasty in the 1800's. 3. China is extremely resource hungry. There is no bigger pile of resources than Siberia. Could it be that China salivates at the prospect of a weakened Russia that will not be able to stop China from taking Siberia?? As has been said - Russia has no friends. Would the EU or US defend Russia if China tries to annex it?? Would the EU or US even protest or sanction China in any way?? I doubt it. We might, but I don't think so. Imagine the west facing a China in possession of Siberia east of the Ob River. It would have resources. It would have shoreline on the Arctic Ocean. How would that change the balance of power between nations??
