  2. The interviewer really showed his ignorance when he mentioned MacArthur as a "famous" general, implying he was a great general. In fact, MacArthur was totally incompetent. His failure to use his air force, or even get in airborne to defend the Philippines against the Japanese was horrible. He should have been removed from command.

  3. Trump was quite clear about what he was going to do. What is inexplicable to me is that people who are being hurt by his policies, that HE SAID he was going to do, voted for him.

  4. Sarah, I admire how you analyze by changing your frame of reference. You are unusual in your ability to recognize and articulate the assumptions leaders are working under. So, you are able to see the world through their eyes, and thus able to make better analyses.

Although it should have been obvious -- I had missed the connection between the Sino-Soviet conflict of 1969 and the US/China opening up and the ping-pong diplomacy by Nixon/Kissinger. And also the opening up of China later by Ding Xiao Ping. She politely pointed that out.
