  1. Also, "Fritz" = something is not working -- the TV is on the fritz "Mensch" = helpful loyal friend. A really good humane person. "Nosh" = something to eat, a snack. and, "schlep" = to carry or haul something by hand.

  7. Americans are extremely insulated from the world. And then our schools are horrible now. They don't teach history, geography, or European languages now. Young Americans are quite ignorant. For me, an American, it is embarrassing.
