  2. Just a little bit of BS here. When a fighter is listed as being able to go to a maximum speed, that does NOT MEAN sustained speed. The SR-71 went 2100+ mph sustained. SUSTAINED. Its maximum speed is classified, but it did go faster on occasion. I don't believe the Mig-4, or any Soviet jet could go Mach 3+ sustained speed.

  3. I just designed a fighter that Russia better be afraid of. It goes 10,000 mph. It is controlled by direct thought. Weapons are fired and controlled by thoughts. It is invisible to radar, and to people. It weighs only a few hundred pounds, yet can carry 50,000 pounds of ordnance. It flies for 20,000 miles, using water for fuel. Yep, pretty scary stuff. Its all designed on paper, just like Russia's fearsome beast. Gimme a break.

  5. good idea. First, the body would be redesigned to be wider, and have sound proofing. Second, the wing would be redesigned to take advantage of 70 years of development. Third, different engines would be used - to take advantage of newer engine technology. Oh, wait, I think we have an entirely new plane.

  6. To save money, Boeing will require passengers to fly their next jet. All that money spent on training and keeping qualified pilots is just wasted. Who needs them?? Boeing sure knows how to save money.
