Are you sure that is correct?? I believe that Celtic tribes in Gaul, in Caesar's time, wore pants -- that is, clothing that covered each leg individually. Just like the "hoods" were worn by the Quebecois in Canada, long before being adopted by inner city youths. Clothing develops, typically, for practical reasons. Pants were useful in the cold north, not togas or tunics.

Teutonic Knights were a true warrior society, for they honored and respected their powerful and valiant foes. Nations today ridicule and denigrate their enemies. Is honor and valor dead??? I wonder.

@RealCrusadesHistory Then you are saying that, although they were worn 1300 years before the Medieval era, that they went out of use....is that right?? If so, that is interesting. Why would such practical apparel fall out use? Just to make a come back later?? I tend to think that they were stayed in...just maybe not by the nobility -- which may have adopted styles reminiscent of the ancient revered Roman Empire. But peasants and serfs who had to work the land, could not do outdoor work in flowing robes. Pants are practical. Unfortunately, histories don't usually focus on the mundane things of life -- like clothes and styles.

@elsmoshsuperfan8146 Yep. The honorable knights of Europe warred and plundered all the time. We have been told how honorable the knights were. The Samurai of Japan had the right to kill any commoner that didn't respect them enough. Weren't they honorable?? The honorable English Crown subjugated Ireland, stealing their land, and killing anyone who hunted or fished. Again, weren't they honorable??? So, to answer your question, killing and plundering IS honorable. Using religion sanctifies it.
