  1. Don't forget we are just ending the oil age. As renewable energy becomes the world's source of energy in the next 20 to 40 years, oil will diminish as a strategic resouce -- eventually becoming almost worthless. The oil nations of the ME will have to re-structure themselves. Conquering or controlling a nation for energy will become pointless. The cause, or at least prime factor, in geopolitical confrontation for the past 120 years will go away. How will countries compete?? How will they define their "enemies"? How will they get their wealth?? How will they define progress??
