What puzzles me is why Pakistan cannot see that by keeping tensions high with India that it is preventing Pakistan from developing economically and socially?? All its effort to hurt India have redounded back on Pakistan. Now Pakistani terror groups attack targets within Pakistan more than they attack India. I see Pakistan falling further behind the economic tigers of SE Asia. Even now, India regards Pakistan as nuisance, not a real threat. That is a big change from a few decades ago. India is pulling away, becoming wealthier and more powerful. Pakistan has no hope of being able to challenge or threaten India, unless they want to start a nuclear war.

It is impossible to predict what an idiot will do. And, Pakistan is run by idiots. Why would they approve the killing of people at a hotel in Mumbai?? How could that possibly help Pakistan? Yet, there is no doubt that that raid was planned and executed from Pakistan. How could any country that amazingly stupid be relied upon to act rationally in the future?? I expect Pakistan to fall apart within the next 20 to 30 years. Regionalism is rising. Its leaders continue to disappoint and lose credibility. BTW... No company is going to put operations there when any person can be executed by being accused of blasphemy. Foreigners are not exempted. I would never go there, for i have no idea what trouble my big mouth would bring to me there. No freedom of speech or freedom of thought.

@goodwill4735 Pakistan will be a colony of China only as long as it wants to be. Pakistan put the chains on. China did not invade, and has no troops to control. Seems to me, that Pakistan's hate of India has so warped its thinking, that it thinks being a willing slave to China will help it compete with India. Instead, it will be held down and held back by China. Too bad, Pakistan had such promise back in 1948.

@goodwill4735 Not so. The Brits left in 1948. True, using an election to divide the land by religion was wrong, IMO. They did the same to Ireland, which also resulted in religious conflict. BUT, the conflict belongs to those who create the violence, and who refuse negotiations and compromise. The Catholics & Protestants finally came to terms. The Muslims of Pakistan must someday be willing to come to terms. Personally, I think the people of Pakistan are willing to live in peace. The government and military keep the tension, to justify their hold on power, I think.

@goodwill4735 Ah, I didn't know that. I just presumed they did it by some kind of plebiscite. Wow, so they partitioned India with some data, and a few bottles of scotch, I am sure.
