  1. Yadda yadda yadda.. These facilities are all being done by edict. Are they really backed up by sound economics and market forces. Nope. How is the big port in Sri Lanka doing? That Chinese port was supposed to be so great, and make Sri Lanka wealthy. Instead, it is a burden, and China is trying to use it to control Sri Lanka. (Fortunately, India is helping out on that.) Sea shipping is cheaper than trucking. So, does the long haul truck trips across Tibet to China make sense? Maybe. But, it would have been better if the roads were built because of existing demand, not be government edict. In long run, these inefficiencies will cost China dearly.
