  3. Money and Politics. Greed and Bribes (political donations) . Media owned by the wealthy and a population that has only one source of media. There are greedy people everywhere and they care little about the future, they only care about there own wealth.

  7. NO Man looks nothing like life long ago. How long will it take to develop a warp drive. That is what it will take to travel to another solar system. Yes but humans will be at the same stage of development somewhere as here but not travel in space. There must be adaptation to space travel, space travelers must be able to live in space for long periods. Look at what astronaut's who have been in space a long time.

  8. Eugene Sant considering the past, check out the Younger Dryas Extinction. My take is the ones who survived were far and few. Considering we are doing a much better job and at the best there will be again , far and few. Perhaps man will not survive.

  9. A large population of the world with all its needs. The current population and its heat engine will all add up to catastrophic events. Fossil fuels are a major driver. So what if put lead in one pocket and iron in the other and jump overboard you will sink.

  10. Just imagine every costal city on the planet having to be evacuated? Just imagine the ocean ph reaching that critical number that kills all phytoplankton. Just imagine going to the beach and having to wear a gas mask due to the ammonia smell. Just imagine world wide human population plunging to just thousands. Just imagine the only survival locals being mountain tops at or near the poles.
