  1. Believe it or not Metro North in New York actually has quiet cars on their trains. Take you cellphone out and talk and you'll get yelled at. Anywhere else on trains is a lost cause.

Being NY'ers who don't want to be woken up by some ahole yammering into their phone at 5:30am people look up in solidarity and the person either puts their phone away or moves to another car. 9 times out of 10 they know its the quiet car but decide its their rules until someone tells them otherwise.
