I was watching an interview on YouTube with Hannah Fry, a Mathematician that has presented a number of science programs on the BBC, including one that discusses how awful dating apps are and she used a moderately handsome tall Dr that was based in New York and London to show how hopeless the apps were even for him. Hannah is 40 and I do know that she was married as I just naturally look to see whether people have wedding rings on. In this recent interview I noticed she wasn't wearing a wedding ring anymore. The interviewer, a dude, who was bubbly and giggly like a little girl, which was rather off putting, asked her about dating. Within a minute the conversation was about monogamy. She mentions that wealthy men and royalty (Kings) have never been monogamous so maybe monogamy shouldn't be a thing, then dismisses the fact that in a monogamous relationship you are less likely to get STD's and other bad things happen to you. The next thing out her mouth is that monogamy was created to oppress women. Yes, you read that right. She thinks being in a monogamous relationship oppresses women and she gets to spew this out to millions because she's a Feminist and knows what is right for the world. My generally positive opinion of her took a nose dive right there and then and I stopped watching. Reading the comments below the video it was all "you go girl, Hannah is so smart, this talk has been life changing for me, etc"
