Wait, what? From what I know Turks love cats. They are revered. Let me play devils advocate here: Roaming stray dogs are a threat to life and limb. In the US stray dogs aren't allowed. You never see them without the dog catcher being far behind. It's the same reason wolves are hunted and eradicated in and close to towns and cities.

@spicypizza6116 I did not know that. Yikes. Being up here in the North East it's not something you see often. The closest I got was walking into my open garage to be confronted by a massive pitbull. I stupidly tried to shoo the thing away but retreated up the stairs to my kitchen. It eventually ran out never to be seen again. It may have been someones pet that escaped and was running wild. Any animal roaming around here that isn't a deer usually has the state police turn up to take it down if it's a nuisance. Rabies is also a thing.
