@Abdega Typically after the senior people leave and things start to go south there's a push to Agile to right the ship. This is when the Agile high priest come over and tell you the shape of your burn down chart is wrong and could care less about the technology and everything else entailed that keeps the organisation limping along.

@s81n You know what I've been doing for the past 15 years? Writing systems that transact billions if not trillions weekly without hickups and are able to recover from outages quickly and effectively. You know what I have not been doing? Solving idiotic LeetCode challenges all day every day to land some shitty job that you know no one has a handle on anymore except you become the scapegoat for it all if you're unlucky enough to be the one to get through the abuse.

QA is a cost center. Everyone is getting rid of that. Why not have the devs responsible for QA, oh and deploying the stuff to the customers and datacenters. The above is not a joke, I've lived it for 5 year now.
