  1. At the end of the movie "Walkabout" there's a reading of a poem by A.E Housman called a Shropshire Lad. I think it encapsulates everything that has happened to the UK. Into my heart an air that kills From yon far country blows: What are those blue remembered hills, What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content, I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went And cannot come again.

  2. I started watching the movie Brazil again last night. Starmer is 100% the analog for dear leader, Deputy Minister of Information, Eugene Helpman. As you go through the movie you realise that it is what the UK has devolved to. When it was release in 1985 I found so many aspects of it hilarious. I'm not laughing now. It is still one of my favorite movies.
