@Obeythemay I worked for a very large corp. One of the biggest. HR was always the blocker to hiring anyone. From mandating only hiring females to illegal racial biases, I've seen it all - including $exi$t propaganda. It is the worst department in any corporation and should 100% be abolished. It won't because corporate welfare is a thing.

These shitty companies also get to behave as though they're the hottest girl on the block and you should be thankful that they even looked your way. In software especially you and I know once the honeymoon days are over that you'll be shoveling $hit anyway.

@perfection9669 Doing tests against the clock. You can tell that all this bs was dreamed up by people that have NEVER been software engineers. YouTube deleted my other more critical comment about LeetCode - YT, another hive of scum.

@perfection9669 LeetCode is the most retarded way to find out whether someone is competent, using it as a filter for hiring is even worse. I've been doing this long enough that I really don't bother with any of this anymore. They do all this gatekeeping but once you get through the door their code is just as garbage as the next corporations.

I stopped bothering. 100% of the jobs and even recruiters reaching out are almost all scams and there's no job there. The best thing from a peace of mind and mental health was not engaging with any of it. What's worse is these corporations and their $hitty jobs, like the average chic, think they're the hottest 10/10 place to work.
