  1. I had a knee replacement at the beginning of February. I've paid all the premiums and met all the deductibles. The bills haven't stopped coming. The most recent one was for the anesthesia during the procedure. I am not joking, just the anesthesia, not the surgeon/surgery or anything else was over ten thousand dollars. This on top of you, despite having insurance and everything else being told on the morning of the surgery that you must hand over $1.6k otherwise they won't do the surgery because they know they have you over a barrel. You think this is bad? I have even more horrific stories than this. American "healthcare" is broken beyond repair.
