  9. I've been in the US since the 90's and In corporate America in all that time. This is 100% business as usual. I remember back in the 90's, when I'd just moved here, working on a project that $1/2bn was spent on that was failing, the insane way there were so many committees in charge of things that made it impossible to hold anyone accountable for anything. I'll never forget walking down the hallway in head office thinking that to myself. Overlay that 90's stuff with modern day wokeness and you have a recipe for utter chaos. Totally not shocking to me. As Asmon said, rats like this thrive in these types of organisations, I've seen more rats than I care to remember.

  11. British, not white, lived in London, hated it. Moved to Berkshire loved it. Moved to Germany, loved my year there. Moved to NY in 1996, absolutely hated it. Lived in the suburbs north of NY for 6 years then moved out to deep in the countryside in another state. Been here for 20 years. Nice neighbors. For work reasons while living out here I also had an apartment in NYC for a couple years too, hated NYC even more, incredibly shitty people. I don't think I could live back in the UK, made a trip back in April after 10 years away, there is just so much wrong over there now that is also occurring in NYC. I'm glad I'm far enough away that it may be sometime before it gets here. US media and the incestuous tie in between government and corporations and media sucks donkey balls.

  17.  @xomox5316  I've been an engineer 35 years. I have run across two women that were great. One was exceptional, I miss her because she was also a great human being. The rest were average or worse and many were put in positions far above their abilities. I retired when one of these clueless boss babes was put in charge and tanked my division in one year. Hey, but at least she expanded her network, which was the only thing that would come out of her mouth whenever you talked to her - expanding your social network.

Because some idiots left a clause in legislation that meant that corporations couldn't deduct developer and Research and Development expenses from their bottom line. They started firing people enmasse in 2022 because of this. But please keep spreading lies and untruths.
