  1. British, not white, lived in London, hated it. Moved to Berkshire loved it. Moved to Germany, loved my year there. Moved to NY in 1996, absolutely hated it. Lived in the suburbs north of NY for 6 years then moved out to deep in the countryside in another state. Been here for 20 years. Nice neighbors. For work reasons while living out here I also had an apartment in NYC for a couple years too, hated NYC even more, incredibly shitty people. I don't think I could live back in the UK, made a trip back in April after 10 years away, there is just so much wrong over there now that is also occurring in NYC. I'm glad I'm far enough away that it may be sometime before it gets here. US media and the incestuous tie in between government and corporations and media sucks donkey balls.
