  6. I despise both cities as much as each other but for different reasons. Visiting Dubai after a while you realize the place has no soul. Most of those tall buildings are empty and falling apart and even the part that is dressed up like it's the "old quarters" you quickly realize was built along with those rotting skyscrapers. I haven't even mentioned the copious numbers of 304's you find hanging out in and around the most swanky hotels. Going out into the desert to get away from the place was nice but even that has its own challenges.
