  54. I used to work with a guy that had C++ code in production that had data structures that sometimes required an index of either 0 or 1 as the starting index. No one ever questioned this insanity because he was the boss. Now imagine some code deep inside your system that has a variety of these data structures that you have to iterate over and do stuff. Don't regret leaving that team for one minute.
