  4. I looked at the landscape and decided meh, I'll retire. At least I get to do what I like everyday without having to listen to idiots that don't actually practice daily.

  5. Sadly the industry is infested with people that don't practice that think there's some automated way of selecting candidates. You prior history be damned.

  6.  @wuzimu2323  Where I worked before I decided to retire they "lost" all the PM's, QA, Prod support people, etc and made the developers responsible for absolutely everything. The last 6 years had been hell, managers and agile coaches that do nothing but waste your time up the wazoo.
