Why is anyone shocked and surprised by civil asset forfeiture? It's the new fashionable way the government gets to steal from citizens/anyone. Go through Atlanta airport with a large amount of cash that you worked hard for and don't be shocked if you get searched and the money seized even though there is no evidence you committed a crime of any kind.
