  1. In general those are gamers that refused to grow up and are stuck in middle school journal state. Most of them might qualify at best as "publicist" but not as journalist.

  2. This behaviour is not limitted to IGN. Got accused of sexism and worse for questioning a statement of a "journalist" on one of our national platforms, nothing you can say to them without them deliberatly misunderstanding or ridiculing anything you say what is not in line with their "truth". Finaly got banned lol. Says more about them than about "us" people with a brain.
