We're talking about a phone here: The main purpose is making phoncalls. Any other gadget on it is a bonus but not important. If you pick a system for the gadgets, deal with the shortcommings or buy another system. The OS is what makes the device working as it is and as guaranteed. Third party OS? Fine, but no more warranty.

You can be sure Mike did get some inspiration out of every part of the entire genre, wich is the actual lore. Part of the hype is build on how fans of the genre are expecting to get immersed in the world. If you had red some novels and compare those to the trailers you would understand.

  11.  @plaxci  Every Playstation has one mainaccount. Consoles also have ID's wich is already used to ban systems that violated certain aspects of the user agreement. Not saying the system is perfect but it sure could/should have been used for a fair spread. Except that Sony only does online hardware sales in limited countries, mine just got added last month...

Don't get me wrong, I try to behave the same way. But it won't conquer the system, might even hurt the world more than you realize. While the old pick-up is a dirty gas guzzler, the old tv is consuming more electricity than a new model... Bottom line: Humanity is doomed, we can't do it right.

  28. As a console peasant, I decided to delay the game till next gen is out. As a lover of the genre, in movies and books as well, I was following several channels but got tired of the hype. But damn sure I will play this, no matter what the world is saying! The ARG prooved that these people know how to create a game, no doubt I'll enjoy this.

It's fun to have them, but we'll survive without them. The Industry calling us "consumers" is about as much abuse of that word as a gangmember demanding "respect". We are clients, not doing busines with them if they don't offer what we want. And thank god for "Exclusivity"! Remember a saying? "It is easy to make some people happy all of the time or all people some of the time. But it is impossible to make all of the people happy all of the time." That said, I do NOT agree with the unneccisairy partial exclusivity.

  38.  @godontgo2657  I see the confusion. Let's set some definitions correct. Game = software Console = hardware Platform (eg: Xbox) = Software + hardware + "service". What I and possibly Shadowyclip mean is that the hardware part of the platform is the least profitable if not even sold at a loss. The most profitable part of a platform is the "service", followed by the software. The "console as a whole" referes to hardware only according to most accepted definitions.

  44. To me it does not sound too shady, I have the feeling that this game is ment for people who have been in to the genre for a longer time. As he said it perfectly: "Not about who V is but about where she's going". For that reason any reviewer or content creator without a decent genre background can easy butcher the story, just for he does not understand. After all, it's Utopia we're expecting ;)
