  2.  @aliensliveinme  I have pointed this out in feedback to YouTube several times but they never got back on it. Funny thing is that these laws are modernized and do also aply to internet media. The waiting is now for the EU to block YouTube or fine them. I'm not sure how this goes down in the USA but I thought there was legislation for public broadcast there as well concerning the ad/content ratio.

  3. I used YouTube before Google owned it and for years I accepted the few seconds add at start. Then the ads became more and longer, often destroying a well desinged and produced video by inapropriate timing. But also YouTube wanted my creditcard to proove I'm old enough to watch what they offer me. Look at the age of my account you dummy! Funny thing is the ads did not care about my "unconfirmed" age. Then it got worse: Ads conflicting with local legislation in several ways and NEVER YouTube got back on this when reported. So I installed an enhancer that did several things: It stopped intrusive interruptions and it also forced the proper codecs and resolution. And suddenly my laptop stopped overheating while watching YouTube. And now again YouTube wants me to give them my creditcard again? No, I'm not paying you to stop harrasing me. I just don't log in anymore to watch what I want, unless I want to comment like now. Suddenly I get much more varied content and adfree, should have done this ages ago!
