JW Deet L Spooner like me was an anarchist. Anarchy is much about democratic control but with the utmost egalitarian principles and liberties that it is not a contest of groups, but individuals in autonomy and free associations. Spooner was anti-capitalist and did not advocate mob rule, but radical democracy. A stateless society where the only association of individuals were economic and no political institutions coercing. No divisions in class or other stratification to reduce people to majorities or minorities, but autonomous individuals in free associations

Swanzo what are you on about? Republic literally means sovereignty is a public affair, not the dominion of a monarch. A republic can be liberal, democratic, oligarchic, rule of single party etc... The Roman Republic was an oligarchy of patricians in the Senate with blocs of mob interests being in conflict. Republicanism is literally politics made a public institution, concerning the public, opposed to monarchism. The US is a federal constitutional republic and liberal democracy with representative democracy. And it’s right to say that a constitution or ideals don’t always uphold. For the longest this liberal democracy has had slavery and segregation. This was imposed by the majority on the minority.... so what makes representative democracy and Republicanism different from the fears of direct democracy? Just that under direct democracy the populace immediately and directly makes the decisions by ballot. A document does not immediately and permanently protect your rights and liberties. They are fought for as was done in the Civil War and Civil Rights movement. Either by violence or passive resistance. The US government has violated the constitution many times, since it’s beginning such as the Alien and Sedition Acts. Quit playing like calling it Republic automatically makes it better than direct democracy. Either way individual liberties are reigned in. Hence greater liberty in bottom-up decentralized organization.

Bonney Dahlquist funny cause George Orwell was a Democratic Socialist. You know the guy known for a name synonymous with a totalitarian dystopia. Orwell was anti-totalitarianism in all its forms, and was a staunch supporter of Democratic Socialism. He was to the left of Bernie Sanders.
