Sure the principles of the American Revolution lead radicals, leftists, and progressives to fighting against injustices, but the elites and establishment did not care fore equality or freedom for all. That’s ignoring half of the history, as the power structure of white supremacy allowed the majority of Americans to believe non-white people were subhumans that didn’t deserve the same freedoms and rights as white men. Abolitionists were in fact critical of the Constitution and the compromise with slaver’s to form the Republic. Other’s used the Constitution to justify abolition. The point is it’s sad that it had to be fought for rather than consistently applying the principles of liberalism and republicanism to others.
