@LittleAl016 it’s not even about majoritarian tyranny, though conservatives sure love minoritarian tyranny, be it economic or cultural. The fact is this is a liberal democratic republic. Citizens are protected in having civil rights and liberties no power can infringe upon. While to me the Constitution is an antiquated document in aspects, the spirit of it is liberal federal republic, and limited authority in individual affairs. This Republic was founded in principles of Enlightenment, and we shall continue the struggle against traditionalist reactionaries.

Notice instead of celebrating their “victory” they are concerned and focusing on the leak. It’s because they no they have lost majority vote, specifically women’s vote for generations to come. The dog caught the bus, now they’re screwed politically. They know that the majority of people don’t agree with overturning Roe v Wade. Most believe in accessibility of abortion and healthcare. The SC just screwed them over by turning the issue to the political process, an issue in which they are in the minority. The “Moral Majority” garbage is dead, people don’t agree with regression and retardation. They have been screwed over politically, they know they be fucked! @whyamimrpink78 you always talk without pulling up receipts. The fact that they’re focusing on the leak shows they know how unpopular this is. Many people keep quiet about how they really feel about abortion in red states, out of fear of being ostracized, but records show Christians (Catholics and Evangelicals) form a good chunk of abortions. Don’t be surprised that there is a silent vote against this next election. Ever since the America Revolution this republic has struggled with maintaining it’s ideal of a liberal society against reactionary cultural conservatives and religious zealots.

@LittleAl016 liberal democracies are constitutional republics to defend individual rights and liberties. I’m not saying the Constitution does it’s job, words on a page are only as strong as the culture. Which is why this country has never been exemplary of those liberal values. However the premise of it is a liberal republic. I understand representative democracy is a sham, and self government is only real when the people have autonomy. Which is why I’m a Bookchin Communalist. And as far as the Constitution goes, I’m a Spoonerite.
