Neoliberalism is the economic doctrine of Chicago School and Milton Friedman. It spread in politics with Reagan and Thatcher. Democrats are center-right.

That was an actual socialist stance. Except we say that about all capitalists not just billionaires.

Oners82 Chicago School is neoliberalism. Austrian School is “anarcho”-capitalism. Friedman and neoliberalism support minarchism or limited government. Rothbard and “anarcho”-capitalism support no government. While Reaganomics has it’s own particular advocacy of supply side economics, Reagan and his administration had as advisor Milton Friedman. Through the Chicago philosophy they promoted tax cuts, deregulation, free trade etc... Not completely neoliberal as Friedman would have advised against corporate subsidies and such corporate welfare. Thatcher would also adopt neoliberal economic doctrine in the UK and so neoliberals became the dominate economic philosophy promulgated by political, economic, and educational institutions.

BLAIR M Schirmer they support some social safety nets. They’re for a very limited welfare state that isn’t as opposed to conservatives. Also they aren’t for traditional social issues. But on foreign policy they are right wing and capitalist economically. They should be classified as center-right as are liberal parties in other developed nations. Like the Liberal parties of UK and Canada are right of center in between social democrats and conservatives.
