  2. maya maya personally I agree with Lysander Spooner on the Constitution. It’s a social compact made by people dead for decades, that should have no basis in our current society. And that was said around the mid 19th century so imagine how truer that is now. The Constitution was a government created by the more elitist Federalists whom were Nationalists and favored more centralized government. They sought to calm the fervors of Democratic radicalism that inspired the Revolution. Thomas Paine’s Common Sense which stoked the fires of revolution was a vision of radical liberal democratic republicanism. Boy did the Federalists fucked that up big time. Instead of fixing the Articles of Confederation their solution was big Federalist government.

  3. Two things. Bernie is falsely branding himself a revolutionary and socialist. He should have proudly call himself and his platform social democratic. Not only is the rhetoric more palpable but it by terminology calls for a Democratic platform and party reform concerned with social reform. He should make clear it’s all akin to Nordic Social Democracy, and Western European Social Market politics. But most importantly connect to the American past and emphasize political connection to FDR, New Deal Coalition, and Social liberalism. Finally it’s obviously cause I’m an actual socialist but... we need to start an actual Democratic Socialist party not seen since Debs. Reform is nice but take on these two bourgeois capitalist parties. A platform of real market socialism and decentralized planning, with leftist libertarian leaning principles.
