  2. Unfortunately progressives are under the illusion that being a leftist equals being social or culturally progressive. You can be a leftist and have some social conservative inclinations. Though in Gabbard’s case she was mildly a social democrat. Now for me personally I’ll have to look at the science more. But if someone is biologically equivalent to a male, it can potentially be problematic. I always favored weight classes and competition as such. But the biology and genetic research is nuanced and I can’t give a solid opinion on these kinds of issues. But one thing is for certain, trans folk can and should compete, the question of against whom is more nuanced. Maybe it should be based on the individual and their weight classes. 🏳️‍⚧️
