@seanwilliams7655 leftism and rightism doesn’t have to do with social views. If you’re socially progressive or conservative but are civic libertarian than that’s leftist. If you’re socially conservative or progressive but would legislate morality and coerce social views than you’re right wing. Just look at the Communist countries which are by degrees left wing economically but very socially conservative and even at times right wing nationalistic like China controlling population birth rates and trying to force Muslims to assimilate to Chinese culture. Or in the past Castro’s persecution of lgbtq people in Cuba
