  1. How convenient. It’s almost like admitting Trump is an empty suit that goes with whatever he’s told. Unfortunately there aren’t any genuine populist republicans. So it’s all just fantasy Enjeti. To believe Trump will make populist policy requires the belief that there are enough conservative populists in the administration to push him in that direction.

  2. Exactly his whole belief is that there needs to be nonexistent right wing populists in Trump’s administration. There aren’t any nationalist populists in the Republican Party. That would mean a return to Hamiltonian Federalist principles and government hand in the economy. Republicans these days are supposedly small government.
