@Gunner6000WarZ government hasn’t solve anything. But socialism, as in libertarian socialism, has solved the labor problem of replacing wage labor with free labor associations and federalist industrial democracy. Whenever such revolutionary libertarian socialist movements have sprung however the forces of State and capital have sought to end them before they spread. As they did with Syndicalist Catalonia, or Free Territory Ukraine etc...

@50jakecs no socialism is replacing private ownership with social ownership, and so wage labor replaced by labor association. People need to stop complicating socialism. As a libertarian socialist the government regulating the economy isn’t socialism. What Krystal and progressives support is called liberal corporatism which has several forms like social democracy, dirigisme, ordoliberalism, third way etc....

Krystal is confused. She is ranting against Corporatocracy which she calls corporatism. But she’s the actual liberal corporatist, which is what the New Deal was. As a libertarian socialist hell no big government isn’t the answer it’s the problem. Big government solving the capitalist problem is like curing a disease by injecting it’s origins. Government is why corporations and capitalism is sustained.

@jdugmar I mean we have grown stronger from it. For example the latest sis Bookchin’s Commnualism which combines social ecology with decentralist body politics based in libertarian principle. Classical anarchism extended itself to only socioeconomic matters but bringing political in the form of libertarian municipalism or democratic Confederalism enforces local political autonomy. Free association however is necessary and if we are to replace the State we have to spread our libertarian movement through education and propaganda. Libertarianism has never been a short term but long term gameplan. Another thing is revitalized the free market anarchism for those uncomfortable or too indoctrinated to understand what the more communist anarchism promotes. Unfortunately communism is now associated with Soviet style Statist Socialism. But through the concept of “Anarchy without hyphens” we can unite all libertarians to freely experiment their own society. And Mutualist free markets is a way for people used to market economy to transition towards a socialist economy. Get them to see socialism is not anti-market but anti-capitalist and wage labor. Ideally a libertarian society would be highly diverse and be a free association of anarcho-Syndicalists, Collectivists, Communists, and Free Marker Anarchists (Mutualists) etc... Though I don’t agree that “Anarcho-capitalism” is truly anarchist they are welcomed to experiment and we’ll see how “libertarian” a capitalist economy can be with it’s reliance on wage labor. In a nutshell we have learned much of the past and a revitalization of the libertarian movement must be suited for the modern period.

@zippymax1 state socialism would have. Libertarian socialists are the original anti-statists though so no not all socialists want centralized government. In fact us LibSocs don’t like the liberal corporatism Krystal supports, the New Deal and all that. We’re very aware that it’s government that sustains these monopolies and corporations that control the economy and impede competition.
