  1. It’s a difficult position Republicans have put themselves in. They need the MAGA cult to be successful in the sub political levels, but they cannot appeal their extremism to the national level. Republicans cannot win big with there ever shrinking religious right base, due to their having to appeal to the MAGA cult they find themselves at odds with moderates and independents. Trump is needed to win local and state, but can’t win Federal with him. We’re witnessing the self-destruction of the Republican Party. As someone said, soon the Democrats will take their proper place as the right wing party, and a left wing party emerge from the transition.
