In Capitalism there is only freedom for property or capital owners. The reality is the majority of populations are always stripped of true freedom from those in power.

And what was that? “I’m sorry I supported the first historically black president. I should have kept the status quo of white as snow.”
84
“I need to protect centrist dad so that I can be his special VP!” — Mayor Pete
84
The problem is none of you are technically left wing other than in the context of national politics. And Destiny seemed ignorant of what actually is Socialism. But I liked the discussions among you three prominent SocDems. Kind of dialogue I can watch.
84
@JonWood007 this is wrong. This isn’t her ideology. The sub is based on post-left anarchist texts of Bob Black and David Greaber. She just made a fool of herself and let the guy mock her in front of her face without explaining the ideals. This is why the sub and fellow moderators were embarrassed by the whole ordeal. They now look like bums without coherent or critical ideals

She said she’s ok with police racially profiling her brown son. I’m telling you there are no more conservatives. It’s a party of evangelist fundamentalists, bigots, and conspiracy loonies ripe for fascist radicalization. Take it from one of the most prominent conservative American ideologues: “Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.” ― Barry Goldwater (5 time Republican senator from Arizona; candidate for president in 1964) quoted in a Washington Post interview, 1994. And modern political scientist and Conservative Norman Orstein has called the Republican Party ‘an insurgency of radicals not interested in parliamentary politics or data.’
82
Yeah it won’t be pretty. And the Dems will blame progressives and independents because they feel entitled to their votes
81
Well that's cause Fox News don't actually care about their proclaimed religion, Mammon is their true god. I agree we need immigration law reform where people are treated with human dignity, a not xenophobic asshattery.
80
She’s more boring than a strict librarian. She needs to reorganize her life with her establishment worshipping self
79
They miss Saager’s nationalist populist BS
79
5:00 - 5:13 my new ringtone
79
The guy is stuck in the 60s. Working with segregationists, the guy is Dixiecrat light.
79
How you’re an adult actor and think conservatism is for you? They’re the same witch hunters they were in the past
79
They wouldn’t know leftism if you beat their head with a copy of the Conquest of Bread
78
Anyone who thinks Capitalism is a free market have deluded themselves into believing Statist plutocracy is freedom
77
So he’s the neoliberal centrist that talks and does nothing. Got it New Obama
77
“I’m a proud capitalist. I believe in hard work” the level of ignorance and contradiction in that statement says much about the level of double speak and muddy ideologies people are fed.
77
This isn’t mental gymnastics. It’s simply mental
76
STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!!!!! Just playing. These definitely are considerable policies.
75
Rush Limbaugh turned the most uneducated group in this country into mindless cult of personalities. Right wing media (that includes all MSM) is full of hysteria and fraudulent propaganda.
75
A tragic state of affairs. Reality is stranger than fiction
74
Shows you that the neoliberals are on some faux social progressive BS. The problem with identity politics ala neoliberalism is it comes from a privileged capitalist position
74
The Fed literally has too much power if people are this worried for their rights and liberties. One Supreme Justice is all it takes to rile all up and be concerned
74
He spends his career on his knees. That’s how we’ll remember him
73
The richer getting richer screwing over the average person. Same old, same old
73
The entire center-right Third Way ideology is keep the underclasses on some welfare so they’d shut the hell up, and neoliberal free trade and globalization for a capitalist world order. No surprise
73
The corruption is so rampant I'm surprised we still have voting
72
It’s simple for him. He thinks “hot!” he’s supportive
71
It’s always capitalism. What do you expect?
70
Dude is hiding the donations. Clearly he has the elites begging him to outrun Bernie. Everyone else released the details of their donations, BetOnMyStork to shill hasn’t.
69
Anyone that agrees with trickle down should not be taken seriously in any economic field
69
Owen Munday that’s the funniest part! Lol
68
“If one has to refer to any of the parties as a terrorist state, one might refer to the Israeli government, because they are the people who are slaughtering defenseless and innocent Arabs in the occupied [Palestinian] territories, and we don’t regard that as acceptable.” (1990) “The United Nations took a strong stand against apartheid; and over the years, an international consensus was built, which helped to bring an end to this iniquitous system…but we know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.” (1997) - Nelson Mandela
68
Brandon Seasholtz yeah. I think the gist is should we be more opened to socialist institutions or practices, not exactly should workers own the means of production.
67
Crazy that religion gets a free pass for adults being crazy
67
Exactly Kyle! America can do anything except what the public wants and catching up with the rest of the developed world lol
66
What a patriot! Now that’s resistance like the American and French Revolutions!
66
The middle ground between Third Way right Centrism and right is right wing status quo trash
66
MartianManHunter2258 Libertarians were originally anarchists, anti-authoritarian socialists. Libertarian/Anarchist Socialism is the wing of socialist ideology that is anti-statist and has always been anti-capitalist. The first to coin the term Libertarian ( a synonym for Anarchism) was the Anarchist-Communist Joseph Dejacque. A Libertarian Socialist can either be Communist, or support forms of Market Socialism.
66
This is the real issue for trucker workers. This is what we should be protesting, their labor rights. Truckers work as independent contractors, it’s bullshit. Time for solidarity
65
“He was a hero, a martyr! He was for “liberals” when he said things about Trump! Ahyuk!” The establishment milking a passing for as much political points as it’s worth.
65
So much for “free markets” Fed already gives subsidies to oil
65
I thought we were RESIDUALS?!! Make up your minds Neoliberals
64
A brilliant bill indeed. Sanders proving yet again why he is the most popular politician, cause he’s for the populace. And this bill’s political acumen is just a stroke of genius, it would appeal to right wingers. But yeah corporatism is the government of the USA.
64
That was so insulting how they portrayed Frederick Douglass. William Lloyd Garrison was a radical abolitionist and Christian anarchist arguably. But Douglass didn’t compromise, he worked for radical abolition in the system and without, convinced in using radical libertarian Lysander Spooner’s arguments as to why slavery was Unconstitutional. That’s why he argued a Constitutional legal point against slavery. It spoke to more moderate and traditionalists, but also transformed the very legal framework. Spooner actually wanted the abolition of the Constitution. Douglass would take any available avenues, and supported John Browns crusade.
64
@2:38 wow that’s actually pretty really Democratic Socialist. Representatives (Delegates) being paid a common wage not far from the workers
63
He’ll use Jesus to support his xenophobia and conservative hogwash
63
It’s official. The US isn’t a Democratic Republic at all. The alliance of corporate and State powers is the ideal Fascist model of socio-economic organization, aka Corporatism. But what we have here is even worse in a way. It is not an ideological path taken, it’s blatant corruption and undermining of our democratic institution and hiding it behind a veil of a “liberal democracy” or “Republic.” We are an Oligarchy of special interest groups, corporations maintaining a status quo with politicians to maintain wealth and power in a cycle of corruption.
63
Neoliberals are conservative right wing so it’s no surprise. They killed nearly all modern liberalism of the New Deal days and forgot about the Four Freedoms ( Freedom From Want, Freedom From Fear, Freedom of Worship, and Freedom of Speech). These are the bureaucrats that shifted politics from the public to corporate interests and right wing economics. Democratic Corporate Conservative Coalition
63
