  1. As a libertarian socialist this isn’t at all individual thinking. This is one of the most collectivist phenomena known as mob mentality. These people put their faith in others, and let other do their thinking for them, instead of self-governing and critical thinking. Their opposition to vaccination isn’t deep, it’s a reaction against those they deem as pedophile satanists, and demons. They follow the leader, and believe any crap read on social media. They know nothing of science, and aren’t even curious enough to research peer reviews and medical journals from the actual professionals; which are available online in appropriate databases. Nothing “individualist” about this, it is groupthink. I agree with not blindly believing to institutions, but respecting the science is another thing entirely. They’ll listen to anything except virology
