Now Hamas is a terrorist group, always been anti-Israel but the Israeli government didn’t care when they used them for their agenda. What you have to realize is that though Hamas is an extremist group they want what the Israeli’s want; complete removal or eradication of the other side in the area. Hamas wants no Israel, Likkud wants no Palestine. At this point Two State is no solution but a fantasy. Majority of people believe the only solution now can be a One State solution of a secular liberal democratic State, with a diverse nation of Arabs and Jews, basically a liberal State. Hearing their holy sites and respecting their cultures and religions. Hamas for all the fear mongering has killed far less than the Israelis State. It’s like St. Augustine’s parable of the pirate and the Emperor. Hamas is a ragtag, ill equipped extremist group with shitty weapons and barely functional missiles. Israel is a State with organized government and Western aid and arms. Their Dome is barely penetrated by crappy Hamas missiles. And the statistics of death tolls are striking and completely the opposite of Israeli propaganda. Just about the average chart shows the disproportionate killings of Palestinians. Yes there is extremists and violence from both sides. But one of them is the aggressor, and the other reacts. There is a huge power imbalance. Stop trying to equate a rebel extremist group with a Western backed State and organized military. What’s next? Comparing protesters to militant police force?
