  1. Most conservatives are old and white because that ideology clings to a white supremacist past. Not to mention patriarchal and misogynistic. I understand how conservatism is an ideology of traditional norms and values, customs and that has it’s validity in many cultures and nations; though I don’t agree with it. But beyond conservative values there is an underlying strain of bigoted and racist tendencies under groups of conservatism, because in the past racism and bigotry were the norms and even “values.” So it still ripples among modern conservatism.
