Republicans are so corrupt and so servile to corporations they have to rely in the most uneducated, bigoted, and religious sycophants in the country as their base. It’s the only way they get votes, the only educated Republican supporters are well to do and wealthy people who understand the Republican policy will help them sustain wealth and increase it.

AP AS who said Democrats aren’t corrupt? The difference is they are center right neoliberals that at least wouldn’t cut back on the welfare programs needed. Both are corrupt, but Republicans are against helping the working class in any form. Democrats don’t make things better, but they won’t make the few things that help obsolete. At least the Democratic Party now is going back to center leftism and progressivism, as it was in the New Deal days. And more uncorrupted Democrats have won seats, and they want to expand their numbers. There is no such movement for the Republican Party and the right.
