  1. I’m an actual anarchist, a libertarian socialist. Boogaloo is to blame cause they don’t distance themselves from the hierarchic symbols and there are white nationalists that identify as boogaloo. Much of their actions are to incite the second “boogaloo” or civil war. They’re just anti-government not proper anarchists. The guy interviewed wasn’t the leader of boogaloo. And yes it’s been known there are anti-bigots among their ranks, but the group started from suspect white nationalist movements and it’s hard to dispel that. They can easily disband and start a new group without the bad elements. Us anarchists actually get along with actual classical liberal minarchists. There are genuine and principled limited government conservative folk. But many claim to be that but have a social tyrannical streak. Anarchists don’t have a problem with social progressive or conservative views themselves, though as libertarians most of us question the limits of social norms upon individuals. What we don’t like is when anyone, socioculturally progressive or conservative tries to legislate, rule, or coerce their social views and morality on others. Unfortunately the social conservative right has many on that side as well.

  2. Boogaloo act as saboteurs to incite a race war. They believe a second civil war. While yes some are against bigotry, as you can see there are white nationalists that identify as Boogaloo. They wear Hawaiian shirts, and aren’t that different from other right wing militias like 3%. There is no right wing anarchism. Anarchism is the anti-statist wing of socialism, aka libertarian socialism. Which includes anarchist communism and market socialism. But anarchy is socialist and anti-capitalist. I’m willing to believe the individual that was interviewed, but he could just be an actual anarchist instead of usual right wing “Libertarian” trying to appropriate the appeal of anarchy for something that isn’t. That said us libertarian socialists don’t support government programs as a solution either. But understand the urgency for alleviation. But not wanting government programs, which libertarian socialists also don’t want, isn’t why they are bad. If these right wing groups want to have a good image they need to expel all symbols of hierarchy and bigotry from their ranks. A task easier said than done, if not then disband is and form a proper organization the right way.
